Telepathic Teddy Bear - Telepathic Teddy Bear

Band/ Artist: Telepathic Teddy Bear
Year: 2010
Genre: Bedroom Pop, Electropop

My Review:
This is an album I have had pretty much since it was released, yet always seem to forget to post. The funny part about that is that I listen to the album probably once every other month or more.

If you like Team Sleep, The Postal Service, and the like, then you should look at this one. It has a more prominent presentation than most bedroom pop, with its clear, well broadcast vocals, it still keeps a lot of that softer, more private sound.

The music is all made by a single man, Juan Carlos Padilla, who lives in Mexico. His work as TTB is a pretty fresh and vibrant sound, though he's also working in another project called Reactions.

Here is the band facebook page.

Well as always, I hope that you love it.

Henrik José - 2007 (New Music)

Band / Artist: Henrik José
Year: 2007
Genre: Indie pop, Bedroom Pop

My Review:

I've been listening to this for years and years. I must've found this guy around the time that he originally released it, and have been playing it ever since.

Henrik José is a singer/songwriter out of Malmo, Sweden, who sings like an angel when you're taking muscle relaxers (shush, I had a prescription.) He used to have this available on his website, along with a huge pack of work he did under the name "Bliss". This falls really close to the bedroom pop genre, with its soft, somewhat slow melodies. It is available on soundcloud now, but you have to download each track individually. Its worth it. I hope you enjoy it.

The Plastic Jazz Orchestra - 39º

Band / Artist: The Plastic Jazz Orchestra
Year: 2010
Genre: Jazz, Electronica, IDM, Bedroom Pop

My Review:
Here is a good one for people who like jazz, but only in between long sessions of listening to electronica and IDM. It isn’t really jazz in the traditional instrument sense, but I came into this not expecting anything more than some keyboards, and it turned out to be a pleasant one to leave on while drawing. I'm a little sad to see that the head of the group died, because I think it would have made for a great project to keep an eye on and see how they grew.
